Great Guinness, Your Favourite Beers and Ales, wines and speciality coffee in Geashill, County Offaly.

Welcome to Hamiltons Pub. The perfect Winter Pub.

Situated in the heart of Geashill, Ireland’s Tidiest Village 2023, our pub welcomes you to County Offaly with award-winning hospitality, creamy pints of Guinness and beers, classic drinks made to order and fresh ground coffee supplied by Coffee House Lane in Waterford.

We’re very proud of the reputation of Hamiltons as the spot where the only noise is conversation, laughter and on certain nights traditional music. It’s the perfect spot too for the “quiet pint” when you want to catch your breath and let the world pass by.

The Bar

The crackle of the fire, the sound of laughter and chat and you have everything you need to settle in for a relaxing drink in good company.

It’s all about that feeling of being welcome and amongst friends and Geashill has proved to be one of the most welcoming villages we have ever been to and why we now call it home. Thursday tends to be quiet pints night – TV’s down low and conversation is more important than music or TV.
Check with us as some Friday nights we have the pleasure of hosting some traditional musicians for an informal session – always sure to create the best atmosphere.

Don’t forget on the third Friday of the month we welcome traditional musicians for an informal session called The Gathering .

The Geashill Tea Rooms

We have has a really successful summer with our Tea Rooms but as winter approaches it’s getting very quiet and like a lot of pubs we are changing our hours for the winter.

From November 2nd until the spring our Tea Rooms will be closed – but tea, coffee and scones are available in the bar at the weekend from 1.00 pm until 5.00 pm.

In recognition of being located in Ireland’s Tidiest Village and as part of our own sustainablilty programme for the bar, we encourage the use of reusuable cups for take-away to help reduce litter.
